Special Livery for China Southern's 1st Boeing 787 Dreamliner Unveiled

On Aug. 16, China Southern Airlines' first Boeing 787 Dreamliner in special livery was unveiled on Twitter-like Sina Weibo.
A Weibo user "Hangkongwuyu" posted pictures of China Southern Airlines' first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Aug. 16. The 787 Dreamliner, registration B-2727, was in special livery of China Southern. It is learnt that nine of the ten 787s ordered by China Southern will employ the new painting livery.
According to a statement earlier published on the airline's official website, China Southern's first 787 Dreamliner is expected to complete painting in August.
The Guangzhou-based carrier is scheduled to take delivery of its first 787 in September this year; however, the exact delivery date has not been disclosed yet.
On Aug. 13, China Southern CEO and President Tan Wangeng met with visiting Ihssane Mounir, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Greater China and Korea, Boeing. Both sides exchanged their views on the delivery of China Southern's first Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Aug. 14 and became the first carrier to operate the aircraft in Africa.
All Nippon Airways became the first operator of the 787 in September, 2011. ANA now operates 11 Dreamliners.
